Erlinda Cilot, 72, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away peacefully at home on March 28, 2021, where she was surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on April 27, 1948 in Makati, Philippines to Caridad and Ricardo Mugot.
Erlinda migrated to Anchorage with her two older children in 1988 to be with her husband, Feliciano. Two years later, her other three children followed. She lost her husband in 1991 a few months after her oldest child’s wedding. She was left to take care of her five children at the age of 43. She decided not to remarry, but instead, dedicated her life to her children and 16 grandchildren. In earlier years, she enjoyed dancing and playing bingo and mahjong with friends. She also loved cooking different types of Filipino food for her grandchildren and sewing clothes for the whole family.
Erlinda is survived by her children: Malou Anastacio and husband Orlando; Ben Cilot and fiancé Jenny Leoncio; Maricris Castro and husband Larry; Fe Balmes and husband Tomas; Totoy Cilot and wife Charlotte; grandchildren: Sandy and husband Eric, Gisselle and husband Nick, Abigael, Kobe, Christopher and wife Chy, Gabrienne, Elian, Isaiah, Avery, Adrienne, Sierra, Carlo, Brian, Aiden, Caelen and Cole; sister Coret and brother Paeng.
Erlinda was preceded in death by her husband, Feliciano Cilot and her parents, Caridad and Ricardo Mugot.
