Erica Rund Bennett of Seattle passed away peacefully on April 10, 2022 in Fairfax, Virginia at age 66.

Erica grew up in Shorewood, enjoying skiing at Crystal Mountain, water-skiing on the Sound. She had a lifelong love of flying. After graduating from the University of Washington she married and headed North to Alaska where she worked as a flight attendant for Western and Wein Airlines. She became a member of the National Ski Patrol at Alyeska and had two daughters who she loved dearly. Later she moved back to the Lower 48 and worked for Horizon Air and Southwest Airlines.

Erica's heart never left the Pacific Northwest. Wherever she went she touched countless lives with her kind, caring nature.

She is survived by brother Gregory Rund, her daughters, Audrey and Kristin, who tended to her in her final battle with cancer, and her five grandchildren. Her parents, John and Shirley Rund and her brother Scott and John Jr. pre-deceased her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
