Elliott William French

(April 10, 1937 – June 22, 2021)

Elliott French, 84, of Lindenhurst, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at the Village of Victory Lakes in Lindenhurst, IL. He was born April 10, 1937, in Lombard, IL to the late Ogle French and Rolene (Elliott) French.

Elliott was a long-time member of LeClaire Christian Church in Edwardsville, IL, faithfully serving his Lord as an elder, Sunday School teacher, and youth leader.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Miles French and Armeda Olson.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris French. Children include, Scott William French and wife LouWanna of Frederick, MD and Bruce Elliott French and wife Maria of Round Lake, IL; grandchildren, Cole, Lyla, Mary, Andrew, and Marina; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Preston, and Kinslee.

Elliott was a Godly man who was devoted to serving his family and God’s church, both locally and abroad. He taught high school and college math for most of his adult life before starting a home services business. He loved learning, working outdoors, and traveling. He was a friend to many and generous with his time and resources.

Though frugal, Elliott was generous with his giving, and asked for little in return. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to one or more of the following:
