Elias Peña Jr, 45 of San Antonio, TX passed away in Houston, TX on April 2, 2020. Elias was born and raised in Brownsville, TX. He was a graduate of Gladys Porter High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy serving five years (1993 – 1998). He traveled to many different countries. His favorite being Guam. Elias Peña Jr, 45 of San Antonio, TX passed away in Houston, TX on April 2, 2020. Elias was born and raised in Brownsville, TX. He was a graduate of Gladys Porter High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy serving five years (1993 – 1998). He traveled to many different countries. His favorite being Guam. Upon leaving the Navy, he returned to Brownsville, where he became a veterinary technician. Elias always enjoyed working with animals. Later he joined Tropical Refrigeration Systems (TRS) Incorporation where he worked for the past 15 years. Elias is survived by his wife of 17 years Gabriela Peña, and daughter Gia Isabella (Caspar), and stepson Jesse Anthony Rios, Jr. (Krystal Rios), and grandchildren Logan and Alice, mother Flora Simon (Rev. Dr. Samuel Spencer), father Elias Peña (Berta Peña), and sister Florestela Delgado (Rene), children Andrea and RJ, and brother Julio Cesar Peña (div. San Juana), children Sebastian, Sofia, and Julio Camilo; Giselle, Julio Jr., and brother Gabriel Peña. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Estanislao and Isabel T. Gutierrez and paternal grandparents Guadalupe and Josefina Peña.
