Dr. Ralph Eddings
1930 -2021
The Snoqualmie Valley community has lost a celebrated member. Ralph Houston Eddings passed away at age 90 on May 29th, 2021 at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.
Ralph grew up in Tacoma. He went on to graduate from Whitman College and University of Washington Medical School. He completed a medical internship at Veterans Hospital and residency at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. “Doc” Eddings spent his entire professional life in the Snoqualmie Valley, serving the surrounding community for 60 years, making house-calls, delivering babies, setting broken bones, stitching cuts and handling emergencies at Nelems Memorial Hospital.
Ralph was also a master at home improvement and could repair anything. His creativity was expressed through wood-carvings and whimsical driftwood mobiles. He also enjoyed skiing, tennis and golf. During the last years of his life he remained by the side of his youngest son, maintaining the Twin Star Carwash in Snoqualmie.
Ralph joins his parents Geneva (Perkins) and Benjamin Eddings and sister Verlie in the realm of afterlife. He is survived by his loving wife Toinette Eddings and sister Muriel Eddings and his three children - Mitch, Cindy and Joe, three grandchildren - Tara (Eddings) Kamper, Chelsie Eddings, and Hailey (Eddings) Rogers, and great-grandchild Teddy Kampher.
“Doc” Eddings will be greatly missed by all in the the Snoqualmie Valley.
