OBITUARY
I didn't know David Payne very long, but what I did know of him is that he was such a loving soul that touched others with almost everything he did.Once a small group of friends were trying to help an elderly sister that had recently become a member in our church. We didn't know her for very long but she had some pretty extensive physical challenges and needed immediate help. David had spent most of the long weekend doing long overdue... see moreI didn't know David Payne very long, but what I did know of him is that he was such a loving soul that touched others with almost everything he did. Once a small group of friends were trying to help an elderly sister that had recently become a member in our church. We didn't know her for very long but she had some pretty extensive physical challenges and needed immediate help. David had spent most of the long weekend doing long overdue yard work for her, after just having knee surgery himself! Just as he finished his long days of yard work and service, I met up with him and asked him what specific way could I help her most and did he have any advice? David looked at me with thoughtful kindness in his eyes and said, "just love her"! What a loving response to an overwhelming situation...every time I saw or heard him speak, those were the things I saw and remember of this spiritual giant! He was truly a disciple of Christ, following the Lord's example of kindness and service to others. We love and will miss you Brother Payne❤️????????
