On Friday, July 5, 2019, David Dean Hunn, loving husband and father, passed away in Ryazan, Russia at the age of 63 in the presence of his loving wife Elena.
“Dean”, as he was known to his siblings, was an avid reader. He was passionate about history and world politics. He was even known to read technical textbooks for fun. Dean was as brilliant as they come.
Born on June 23, 1956 in Wabash, Indiana to David Leroy and Nellie May, David Dean’s early years were spent enjoying incredible success in athletics and music, winning athletic awards and playing the trumpet at a level few can attain. After high school, he initially studied music at Northern Arizona State University, but later switched to Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University. He spent his professional career as a software developer, first at Boeing and later transitioning to consulting.
He was married to Victoria Lynn Ralph when they had a son, David Christopher. He spent the last 15 years of his life married to his sweetheart, Elena Victorovna Iliana Hunn, who’s son Anton Victorovich Ilin also became a beloved son. He and Elena enjoyed traveling and visited countless world destinations. They also had many beloved pets during their time together.
David Dean was preceded in death by his father, David Leroy, grandparents George and Dorothy Hunn, and Clyde and Edessa Jarboe. He is survived by his wife, Elena, his mother, Nellie May Ritchie, siblings Daniel Arthur, Douglas James, Duane Michael, and Diana Joy, as well as sons David Christopher and Anton Victorovich, and many nieces and nephews.
