Everybody who knows her would probably agree that her defining characteristic was an uncompromising devotion to her principles. Throughout her life, she pursued an unwavering quest to combat injustice throughout the world. From fighting for women's and immigrant's right to combating bigotry and discrimination of all types, Christine made a true impact. Her unparalleled empathy and kindness towards others was an example to us all. We are raising funds for "GiveDirectly" in Christine's memory. Christine was passionate about a large number of issues, but out of all of them, she would likely think that extreme poverty in developing nations is the most critical. GiveDirectly is a charity that has been included in Peter Singer's list of organizations that he has pre-selected as the most impactful, a list that Christine has previously advocated for. GiveDirectly gives cash with no-strings attached to some of the poorest people in the world, which is a method that some think may have the most promise in reducing extreme poverty. Helping Christine continue to make an impact even in death would be the most fitting tribute.
