OBITUARY
Chan Yowa, of Devine, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 26, 2022. Chan was 24 years old, and he was born in Coalinga, California on January 15, 1998, to Elvira Cantu, and Chan Yowa. Chan was married to Lorraine Yowa for 27 years. Chan spent many of his years working at Devine Lumber, but for the past 7 years you could find him working for Harrison Supply. Chan was 24 years old, and he was born in Coalinga, California on January 15, 1998, to Elvira Cantu, and Chan Yowa. Chan was married to Lorraine Yowa for 27 years. Chan spent many of his years working at Devine Lumber, but for the past 7 years you could find him working for Harrison Supply. Chan enjoyed spending time with family and friends with his 2 grandkids being his biggest blessing. He spent his free time watching cooking shows, western movies, and playing outside with his grandkids. He was outdoorsy and would spend each evening feeding the deer with the grandbabies. Chan was a very loving father, and grandfather. His grandkids referred to him as Papi. Chan was preceded in death by his father; Luis Yowa, mother-in-law; Maria Velasquez, and father-in-law; Jimmy Velasquez. Chan is survived by his mother; Elvira Cantu, wife; Lorraine Yowa, son; Ryan Garza and wife Kristen Garza, grandkids; Brynlee Garza and Kyler Garza, brothers; Robert Garza, and Albert Garza. Louis is also survived by his sister-in-law; Dora Rodriguez husband Ruben, brother-in-law; Michael Velasquez wife Maddie, also, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Chan had the biggest heart, and a very hard worker. He will be missed deeply by all who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home - Devine, 303 W. College Ave, Devine, Texas 78016. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm with Pastor Billy Morse officiating. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
