On Wednesday, July 21, 2021, Carloyn Williams, loving wife, mother of six children, grandmother of 22 grandchildren, and great grandmother of 5 great grandchildren passed away at the age of 65. Carloyn was born on September 22,1955 in Hackensack, NJ.
Between 1977 to 1985 she birthed three beautiful daughters and two amazing sons. Carloyn had a passion for painting, cooking, nature, and religion. Carolyn followed the Jehovah witness religion and attended meetings at the Kingdom Hall every Sunday morning. She would rarely miss a service and would read her watchtowers everyday. One of her many memorable traits would have to be the way she showed love. On the weekends, you could always count on Carloyn to have large gatherings filled with family, friends, and even strangers from many different cultures and backgrounds. Everyone would come to enjoy her food, dance, and have a great time. Anyone who would pass through her home would alway stop to talk to Carolyn and about everyone referred to her as “mom”. She was adored by so many and her absence will be a tragic loss for our community.
Carloyn was preceded in death by her late husband, Sylvester Williams. She is survived by her children Amy Neyer, Violet Lee, Heather Sorour, Jasmine Bruno, Simmie Greaves, Eddie Harvey, and their many children.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30th, 2021 at Carolyn’s home, in Downtown Davenport at 9 o’clock a.m. Church members will be able to attend via Zoom.
