Our beloved Brown Kundaeli Mariki, 60, passed away on October 3, 2022 following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
Brown was born in Moshi, Tanzania on December 3, 1961, to the late Mr. Kundaeli and the late Mrs. Martha Mariki. He initially emigrated to the US in 1980 as a member of a church choir group. Throughout his life, Brown was a prominent church member both in the US and in Tanzania. His involvement includes later as a patron of KKKT Evangelical Lutheran church in Dar es salaam, a deacon, a choir member also assisted in composing choir music.
Brown Mariki was a hard worker and enterprising. After resettling in the US for a second time, through had work and study, he obtained his IT education and went on to work for technology companies like Hewlett Packard (HP) and Microchip as a computer/software testing engineer where he worked until the time of his death.
He was a loving and caring brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and co-worker. He was loved and cherished by everyone for his unconditional love and support never failed to uplift others’ spirits when they were down. A loving and charming soul gone from us too soon!
In his everyday life he enjoyed his hobbies of gardening, and cooking, his famous “Machalari” which was always a delight at the thanksgiving dinner table.
Brown Mariki is survived by his brothers, sister, many nieces and nephews, grandsons, granddaugter and great-grandson.
