IN LOVING REMEMBERANCE
Brother Clement T. Brown, Jr., “Clem,” of Absecon, New Jersey, transitioned this life on Monday, January 24, 2022, at the age of 72.
He was the third child born to Denise and Clement T. Brown, Sr. on June 4, 1949, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Clem grew up within the close-knit community of the “West Side,” and graduated from Atlantic City High School. He attended Norfolk State University and remained in the area for seven years. He returned to his home by the sea and was employed at various businesses before accepting a position at the Atlantic City Utilities Authority. He retired as a supervisor after twenty plus years of distinguished service. Clement maintained a lifelong affiliation at St. James AME Church continuing a more than one-hundred-year tradition for the Brown Family. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing tennis in his earlier years. He loved all sports but particularly enjoyed traveling to collegiate basketball and professional tennis tournaments. In his free time, he was an amateur photographer and has a surprising collection of great photos. Clement became a Master Mason on December 10, 2002. He was a loyal member of the Prince Hall Lodge #27, Mount Calvary Consistency #22, AASR for more than twenty years. Loved by all who knew him, Clem forged many lifelong friendships.
He leaves to cherish many fond memories: His Sisters: Herlyn Blackwell of Mays Landing, New Jersey; Denise Brown-Trew of Bermuda; His Brothers: Ronald Brown (Lissa) of Richmond, Virginia; Robert Brown, Sr. (Jackie) of Pleasantville, New Jersey; His Son: Michael Clark (Nakola) of Edgewood, Maryland; His Nieces and Nephews: Devan Blackwell; Ashleigh Brown; Paul Brown (Corina); Sarah Endres (Matt); Robert Brown, Jr. (India); Rhys Brown; Denise Brown; Jordan Brown; and their Children; as well as a host of family, friends and church members.
