Brian was a native Coloradan, grew up in Arvada, and received both his bachelors and masters degrees in business finance from CU. He worked for many years as a financial analyst.
He found a way to connect with so many people through his love of the CU Buffs, the Broncos, music that spoke to him, and found solace in poetry and literature.
Everyone has expressed what a loving, kind, gentle and protective person he was, and how much he touched their lives.
It was no secret, and he was very transparent about his long-standing struggle with mental illness. Although we are deeply convinced that he did not leave us intentionally, we know that mental illness was the largest contributing factor to his death. Please help us destigmatize mental illness by speaking openly with your friends, family, and co-workers about this type of illness.
Even though Brian was not able to be as social as he once was he often commented how important his friends were and he always carried them in his heart.
He is survived by his mom Tesa, dad John, sister Natalie, nephew Blake, sister Rachel her husband Philippe and daughter Simone, as well as step-dad Bud, step siblings Alex, Elicia, and Nick, and many more extended family members.
