Barry will be forever in our hearts as a wonderful and loving husband to Christyne, father to Katie Holland, Emily Ver Allison, Marie Claire Allison, Ian Spivey, and brother to Ava Adams and Laraine Fairbanks. He deeply cherished all of his family in Kentucky, where he was born, and often told us heartfelt stories about them, making them so dear to us as we met many them only a few times. He was so very proud of his family. I invite all those who love Barry to share a little something from the heart. I would like to share something that I know he would delight in:

Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share.
You cannot grieve forever; he would not want you to.
He’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do.
So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared,
The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared.

That brings him back as clearly as though he were still here,
And fills you with the feeling that he is always near.
