Anne Kathryn Mundy, age 58, of Delaware, Ohio died Monday, August 23, 2021 at her home following a 22-month illness. She was born on January 3, 1963 in Queens, New York, the daughter of the late Gloria and Emil Schatz. On February 26, 2001, she married Donald Bret Mundy in Las Vegas. Together they shared 20 years.
Anne grew up in the Richmond Hill neighborhood of Queens, N.Y. From there she moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1981 where she met her first husband. Anne met Bret in Columbus, Ohio in 1999 and after their marriage in 2001 they moved to Delaware, Ohio in 2003.
Anne was a 1981 graduate of the Mary Louis Academy in Queens, N.Y. She was a 20-year employee of Battelle Memorial Institute where she provided support in several areas of research and development. One of her proudest achievements was earning her Bachelor of Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2006.
Anne is survived by her husband, Bret; children, Danielle Mundy and Sean Mundy of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, James, Kelsey, Ana, Leora and Robin; great- grandson, Eli; brother, Joseph; sisters, Dorothy and Judy; numerous cousins, nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Emil Schatz; brother-in-law, Paul Staten; grand-daughter, Kaitlyn Nicole; and her beloved dogs, Lady and Schatzie.
Anne loved music – Styx, Queen, CSN, and the Dave Matthews Band were her favorites. She attended hundreds of concerts. Anne loved reading books by John Grisham and watching romantic comedies. She also enjoyed travel, especially cruising.
Anne’s family and many friends were all very important to her and she loved the time she spent with them. Anne is loved and will be deeply missed.
