Ever since I was small, Grandpa had been sharing his knowledge of the world with me. And I, curious as I am, was interested. It started with words. A word I didn’t know would pop up in conversation, and after explaining it to me, would say, “Put that in your vocabulary”. I never quite understood what a vocabulary was, so after awhile I came to the conclusion that they don’t exist, hence I didn’t have one. “I don’t have a vocabulary!” I’d indignantly reply, which made him laugh every time. Though I didn’t understand, I knew he found me funny, and that became my one-liner for many years. I’ll miss making him laugh.
