We are sure that Scott’s favorite hobby was traveling with Vickie. They traveled on six continents, four of the oceans and on many of the world’s major rivers. He was a tireless traveler, enjoying the museums, churches, historical sights, the natural wonders, the local foods and taverns, and especially all the people and dogs he met. He took everything in stride and didn’t worry about anything – he just enjoyed.

We fondly remember the trips we took with Scott and Vickie. Our first trip with them was a weeklong trip to Little Cayman Island to fish for bone fish, dive, snorkel and enjoy the island. We stayed in an all-inclusive resort which meant that Scott felt required to drink as much booze and eat as many crab legs as he could. As for crab legs – crab legs were served for dinner one night and as Scott & Vickie finished a plate, he ordered another and another and another. The chef finally came out of the kitchen to see if it was true only two people ate all that crab. Scott and the bartender had a bet – Scott could drink every rum drink the bartender made as long as he didn’t make the same drink twice. It didn’t take long before the bartender had to refer to the Bartender’s Guide to make Scott a drink and nearly ran out of rum drinks before we left the island. Scott became known as the Red Belly Rum Sucker because he had sunburned his belly by falling asleep in the sun.
