For those who don’t know me, let me introduce myself first, I’m a friend of Milli. We studied together from class 1 to 12. Academically, she was too good, but I’m not going to talk about that here. Instead, I will talk about her talent in Painting.

During our upper-primary school days, we used to have drawing exams every year, and Milli always got 10 on 10 for her drawings. I remember, for our class 4 final exam, we were asked to draw a ‘mango with a leaf’. When the results came out, as always Milli got full marks. I snuck into Gadadhara Sir’s cabinet and got hold of her drawing papers because I was curious to see why Milli’s drawing got full marks. Believe me, after what I saw that day, I have never doubted her painting skills again. Her mango was a 3D drawing. It was so beautiful! The last time she visited India, Milli gifted a beautiful painting to me. It hangs on my dining room wall and is one of my prized possessions.
