After dinner at Roosevelt Lodge in Yellowstone National Park in 2012, Dad and I drove into the Lamar Valley for some evening wildlife watching. Through a spotting scope, we saw the thrilling sight of a large grizzly on a bison carcass as wolves attempted to cautiously move in while avoiding a swipe from the domineering bear.
