I am still waiting to be woken from this nightmare. After a friendship of more than 20 years how can you be gone? You called me your "old pair of shoes" because we could let down our guard and just be ourselves when we interacted. You were the friend who I'd accept texts from in the middle of the night, and someone who would show up in a moment's notice if needed. You helped pull me out of a pit of darkness years ago and were my constant advocate. I look forward to seeing you again which I know will happen in heaven when we get to sing side by side again.
