I first met Ana about 12 years ago, when we taught preschoolers together in a classroom at our church. We spent many hours together as teaching partners for several years. We had so much fun planning lessons, songs, crafts, activities and snacks for the services and praying for the children and their families. It was beautiful to see Ana worship God with the children. I admired her reverence and joy. She had this way about her that radiated love for the Lord. She also had a feistiness that would crack me up. I remember laughing so much when we were together. And I remember always being in awe of how God would guide our conversations. We later went to Bible school together and Bible study, and she even came to our home to make a delicious meal for some family members who were visiting us. (She introduced me to cilantro!) Ana will always have a special place in my heart. It makes me smile when I think of her with Jesus, and I look forward to one day seeing my friend again in heaven!
