I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Mr. Garrison, Scott, Matt & Amber. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

It’s difficult to put into words what Mrs. Garrison meant to me and how she impacted my life, but I am truly a better person for having known her. She was simply a remarkable woman with an unmistakable laugh, quick wit and an undeniably warm presence. I will carry many memories of her with me, but it is perhaps the conversations with her that I will remember and cherish the most. Any time I ran into Mrs. Garrison, whether it was around town, at school, in the neighborhood or at a tailgate, she always greeted me with a hug, a smile and a story. A quick run-in could easily turn into a welcomed hour-long discussion. In fact, the last time I was home in State College – this same time last year – we did run into each other in a holiday store. We hugged and laughed and talked for a long time. Having moved to South Carolina, I mentioned that I really missed the State College crew and how difficult it was to be far from everyone, to be far from home. A few weeks later she sent me an angel ornament made of cotton – a symbol of home, both old and new. A piece of her, was home for me.

Mrs. Garrison you are in my heart forever.
