I will be forever grateful and blessed to have had the luxury of Joe’s generous love and friendship these past 23 years. Joe was my most trusted and closest friend. We shared many memorable moments over almost a quarter century with our families, soccer days, celebrations at birthdays, holidays, and other family event gatherings. We loved to BBQ and shared so many great cooks with friends and our community. We played and competed at disc golf tournaments for almost 11 years together and enjoyed so many awesome community serving opportunities doing BBQ and sharing the great sport of disc golf and holding events with various charity organizations. Joe was selfless and always eagerly jumped to help others. I have met many incredible men of various personalities and backgrounds throughout my life and Joe stands tall among them. His undying love of God and family, and simple acceptance and respect of all people were the most significant of his character. He loved the simple things and appreciated all that so many often miss along their journey… especially joy and laughter. Joe understood life and the importance of love for all. We shared years of serving as brother Knights of Columbus at Holy Disciples Catholic Church and Joe always modeled servant leadership on so many projects from repairing peoples property, fundraising for various council charity support efforts, cooking BBQ for disc golf, youth groups and other church events or anything else that came his way. We had many long and memorable laughs and enjoyed our love of beer, food, countless fun conversations dissecting this crazy life and pursuing debatable topics “down to the ridiculous” - one of Joe’s signature coined phrases. I admired his adoring love and care he took for “mom” who shared his love for baseball and ice cream. Joe was a dedicated husband to his best friend and wife Mary, a wonderful, loving father to his kids that he was so very, proud of, blessed to be a grandfather, and a loyal brother who cherished Bob and Dave. Joe was a gentle giant, a great friend, a caring listener, a loving man with a gift that brightened so many people’s lives like he did mine and he did so in a most wonderful and extraordinary way. I think about Joe every single day and will surely miss him and could never forget the mark he left on us all. Until we meet again brother… Cheers to you buddy, thank you for your amazing, selfless gift of love, you did well mano!... enjoy your rightful place at the table. Rest in Peace with mom and pops Billy.
