When I was a little girl, it seemed like happiness would always last forever, together, surrounded by all my loved ones in Paramaribo. As time passes, I know that I have to exchange some of that happiness for great sadness over and over again. The realization that it really isn't just words, but the painful truth that one day, just before I go myself, I will be very lonely. Uncle Paul, much more than I am experiencing at this very moment.
