My Grandma
A Passionate Teacher of the word, A School Teacher , A woman of Prayer, A strong woman and a business woman.
She played a major role in my childhood. I can remember vividly when my siblings and I spent our holidays with Grandma at Ikorodu, She made us study the Sunday school book everyday of the week. We would recite our memory verses every morning during devotion. There was a particular day she made me memorize the First chapter of Psalms ( Psalms 1). She made sure the children’s program video tapes were readily available for us,that was one of Her ways of entertaining us back then.
Grandma would always caution us about disclosing too much information to strangers. I remember a time my sister and I were about going to make our hair,She told us to be strategic and careful answering personal questions out there,we shouldn’t be too forward and also not talk too much.
Grandma was a Giver. She made sure people around her were happy and was always ready to help. She was so accommodating.Growing up we always anticipated Christmas Day; a day we all would gather together, eat and enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Grandma’s meals were so delicious. She was a disciplinarian;A no nonsense grandma and I really admired that about Her. She would correct You and redirect your steps as soon as she notices any bad character. She always emphasized on contentment.
Grandma would call to check up on me from time to time and when I’m not reachable ,She drops a voice message; these messages were always filled with words of prayer.
She was a Special Grandma.I will forever be grateful for having Her in my Life.I really appreciate all Her Prayers and Love. Her memory will always live on.
She lived a Fulfilled Life. This is indeed A Glorious Call.......
