Here's Judd on our trip to Amsterdam last April. We found a small carnival set up in the nearby town. It had several rides that Judd's grandchildren, Lucy and Claire, were excited about. One ride flung you six stories up in the air on a rotating arm. You tilted and turned in the sky while the arm spun you around at speeds faster than falling. Claire bowed out. Lucy was nervous.
Judd was up for it. He more than up for it. He was excited, and he quickly persuaded Lucy to go by saying that if a 67 year old man could do it, so could his fifteen year old granddaughter. They jumped on, and moments later they were screaming and laughing into the wind.
Judd was like that. He wanted to dive in and enjoy things. And he was lucky to have a life where he got to dive in many, many times.
