Yvette Chappell-Ingram's Album: Wall Photos

Oh, how I miss you. You came into the world with a sense of curiosity and a quest for life. You walked by nine months, potty trained by twelve months (thanks Aunt Erma) and ready for any adventure from that day forward. Growing up in a large family with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins galore, you learned the fine art of moving to the front of the buffet line and mastering all the lyrics to the Temptation songs performed during our family showdowns.

As a mother, step-mother, cousin, co-worker or friend, you were always there to provide great advice and spiritual guidance. You loved to travel the world and I so envied how you organized, planned and took off with ease. You instilled that same sense of adventure in your son Nicholas, your pride and joy. I promise to keep your memories alive so that he can remember just how wonderful you were.

Although I knew this day would come, it is difficult to wrap my head around this new reality. My heart is broken into a million pieces but I am comforted in knowing you are free of disease and resting in the arms of the Lord Almighty.

Rest in love, my daughter.
