Deborah Shelton's Album: Wall Photos

During my last visit with Greta during the week of May 31st - June 5th, Carroll and I were sitting by her bed. She had been in so much pain and was so uncomfortable for such a long time that almost nothing helped to alleviate her distress, not even the medication. I tried to distract her for a few minutes by playing "What's your favorite...?"

I started with "Greta, what's your favorite color?" But before I let her answer, I said, "Wait! I know what it is!"

She said, "What is it?"

"Mauve," I said.

She acknowledged that I was right.

So I asked her, "What's your favorite flower?"

She answered, "I didn't know I had one."

"I know that you do. I'm pretty sure it's lavendar roses." She shook her head, No. I told her that I was sure it must be because she had lavendar roses in her wedding bouquet. She gave me a puzzled expression. Carroll finally said, "Talisman Roses. Her bouquet had talisman roses in it." That about blew me away, although it shouldn't have, given Carroll's photographic memory. He forgets nothing. Below is a photo of Talisman Roses.
