Aunt Barb reached in and touched my young child's heart from the first moment I met her. On vacation in Tucson, or more excitingly on the beach in San Diego, I learned to feel safe and cared for in her presence. Barb always had a lovely, authentic smile, a warm hug, and kind words.

What always amazed me about her was that despite the chaos of raising four rambunctious sons and a daughter, she truly loved and enjoyed children. Aunt Barb could make any child feel accepted and cherished. She would look into our eyes. And when she looked into mine, I felt accepted. And even cherished...
