One of my sister's favorite places in the world was Waimanalo Beach on Oah'u, Hawai'i. Some of my strongest memories of Megan were our family trips there: all of us swimming in the surf, or Megan and one of our parents venturing out into the waves in an inflatable boat—spending the whole day in a place that we love so much.
