Dad always prayed that his children would have hearts that were tender towards following God's leading. When the Lord led our family to go to Japan as missionaries in 1980, though it was hard to see family separated by an ocean, Dad and Mom were committed to being our prayer warriors, and over the years we were constantly reminded of their love, support, and prayers for us. Whether it was letters and special packages full of treats for us, phone calls, sacrificial giving, purchasing an RV for us to use on a furlough, coming to visit us in Japan, and so many other things, we knew Dad and Mom always had us in their hearts and prayers. I am so blessed to have been given Ron Smith for my dad.
