Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this message finds you safe and well during this holiday season. I am Eddie Shiomi, son of Richard Michio Shiomi.

On behalf of the Shiomi family, we appreciate the kind and numerous condolences we have received over the sudden passing of my father last Saturday.

We'd appreciate it if you would join us virtually on Saturday, April 3rd at 6:00 pm PST to honor, remember, and celebrate the life of my dad. Friends and family from the West Coast of the United States to as far as Japan will be in attendance.

We will be using Zoom, a video conferencing platform that, if you are unfamiliar with it, is relatively easy to use with a little preparation and practice. Detailed instructions and full Zoom call information are at the end of this email.

I know that this will feel strange being physically absent from loved ones and not gathering at a funeral home, church, or community center. Being present in this way will offer safety and security at a time in this ongoing pandemic when it is still critically important to keep infection rates down.
