Everleigh "Emerald" Burnington, born on September 19, 2006 sadly passed away on February 6, 2019, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her nurturing, observant, courageous, and selfless spirit radiated in every aspect of her life, including kindness that touched many hearts. Everleigh is survived by her mother, Ashley, her father, Elijah, her brother, Atticus, and her beloved partner, Zero. Everleigh loved for her family in the warmth and kindness she expressed to each of them. Volunteering at St. Matthews Baptist Church was a significant part of Everleigh's life where her selfless dedication made a huge difference. Among her greatest achievements was a fundraising event where she raised $250 for the church, a testament to her indomitable spirit and commitment to her community. Everleigh's passions extended into a variety of pastimes. She enjoyed playing games, singing, dancing, crocheting, painting, writing poems, and enjoying nature were among her favorite recreational activities. Everleigh was connected to walking with her favorite local spots - the forests. Everleigh relished simple pleasures, like her favorite food - french toast and her preferred beverage - green tea. Music played a significant role in her life, with her favorite artists including Keane, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Of Monsters and Men, Billy Joel, and Backstreet Boys. Her favorite color, emerald green, was reflective of her vivacious and nurturing personality. Everleigh's life was a testament to her belief in kindness. She encouraged everyone to choose and spread kindness, a lesson she had to share with the world. She made this world a better place and her influence will always be remembered. Tragically, Everleigh took her own life and is now at peace with God. We remember her for her love, her spirit, and her unwavering kindness. The void she leaves behind is beyond enormous, but her legacy continues to guide and inspire us all.
