I've spent the past few days thinking about walking to school together from our houses on Iona St. 25 years ago. Throughout high school, our college years, and beyond, you were the most loyal friend I could have ever hoped to have had. You had the rare gift of a magnetic personality, positive attitude, and selfless support for those who cared about you. Thank you for being such a positive presence in my life for so many years. Thank you for introducing me to Jenn. I'll cherish the memories we accrued during Mardi Gras (pictured, 2012), Jazz Fests, football games, parties, our weddings, and quiet moments of lively conversation. I take comfort that you'll live on in those memories forever.
Writing this makes me feel sorrow, anger, and guilt that you're gone. Just know that I'll miss you always; Christine will miss you always; your family and friends will miss you always; and most importantly, Cecilia and Sammy will miss you always. I am beside myself that they will never truly know you like the rest of us did.
