Obituary of Sylvia Yvonne Robinson

On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, Sylvia Yvonne Robinson, passed away at age 57 in Lakewood, Washington.

Sylvia was born in 1963 to parents Leslie and Agatha Robinson in Belize, Central America. She was the 8th child of the Robinson family. She grew up in Stann Creek Valley and attended Light of the Valley Baptist School.

In her professional career, Sylvia was a teacher for over 20 years before becoming a caregiver when she migrated to California in 2002 and later on the Seattle, Washington in 2014. Sylvia was recently awarded: 2019 Sound Options Best Caregiver of the Year award.

Sylvia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren, and embraced every moment she spent with them. She especially loved her role as Glamma.

Sylvia was a beautiful, loving, and compassionate woman of God. Whenever you were troubled she would always say: Always put it in God's hands, for He knows what's best.

One Life Lived, Many Lives Touched;

those who were touched by her will understand that the quality of her existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which she lived. Sylvia had a vivacious personality. We all loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, and her irresistible and contagious laughter.

She is survived by her daughter Cherrilyn Bahadur; granddaughters, Shaelee Stclair and Iylan Stclair; son, Marcus Bahadur (Jacquelyn); grandchildren, Jade Bahadur and Maruc Bahadur Jr.; mother, Agatha Robinson; siblings and spouses, Nancy & Pastor Lloyd Stanford Sr., Lebert & Sherry Robinson, Leslie and Dwan Rodinson, Corine & Carlos Fuller, Verna Robinson, Hubert Robinson, Marva Robinson, and Racquel Robinson. Nieces and nephews, Racquel, Latanya & Lee Robinson, Hubert Jt., Merlyn, Michael, Esther, Brendon, & Lesley Ann Robinson, Zachary Figueroa & Zarsha Robinson, Vern, Dorian, Marley, Maliah Robinson & Nikia McCoon, Lloyd Jr. & Lisa Stanford, Vanessa and Keisha Wilson, and Cheryl Thompson; uncle, Charles Weller, and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends. Predeceased by: father, Leslie Robinson; sister, Mavis Robinson, and aunt Frances Robinson.
